I love chickens and was a poultry 4-H leader for many years. This Scrapbox has feathers from my own roosters. How do I have such pretty rooster feathers? When the feather “in hair” craze was in, I bought 18 hatching eggs from a breeder in Maine. This Frenchman created a crossbred breed of poultry that produced roosters with extremely long saddle and neck feathers. Out of those eggs 12 hatched and 6 were roosters. These feathers are from those original roosters (and their sons) and harvested without hurting or killing the birds. Also included is Gotland, mohair, silk thrum, silk sliver, merino, Angelina, silk ribbon, rayon ribbon and more. This box is 4 plus ounces and includes a private livestream where Jan Massie (one of the most proficient spinners I know) will teach you how to put the feathers in your yarn. I love this Scrapbox because it really is amazingly lovely. Livestream will be on Tuesday, May 31 at 3:00 pm Pacific. You will receive a link within 48 hours of purchase. If you do not receive the link, please message me.
